Frequently asked questions:
What's the fastest way for me
to receive my order, e.g. Next Day?
Some things that you can do during checkout, to make sure of a speedy
delivery:
Landline phone number (not
mobile) of the address that the shipment is going to.
Make sure the address of
shipping is the address of the payment card, for your first order.
Use a none web based email
address (not "hotmail" or "yahoo").
Be prepared to be called by
us (humans behind this web site).
Phone us with you payment
card CVV, this way we can confirm your order in the same call.
Do all the above before end
of lunch time in the UK (our couriers collect from us in the afternoon).
Do you charge me if I pre-order?
We only charge prior to your goods being packed
for despatch, we will not hold money for goods we do not have in stock.
Fair's fair.
When will my card be charged?
Your credit / debit card will be charged prior to your
goods being packed for despatch. At that time you will receive a
shipping email with details of your delivery.
How do you deliver goods?
We use Business Post. In 99% of cases you items
will be with you the next day if we pack your order by 3 o'clock in the
afternoon. We always try to do this for you.
How does your quality of product differ from other retailers?
Our buyers try to select good batch runs of manufacturers, this
results in items having better outer boxes (none damaged), and products
which come from a low fault rate run in manufacturing, meaning less
manpower hassle for business when it comes to returns. At time of
writing, we understand that we have the lowest return rate in the
business in the UK. This means a greater chance of getting a fault
free product delivered to our clients and customers first time, than any
other IT hardware supplier we know.
How much do you charge for delivery?
The delivery charges start from £5.50 and is calculated using item weights, this is calculated when you recalculate your basket. We do not charge any handling or processing charges, so you know on screen exactly what you are paying, this is verified with a printable order sheet which is displayed after you click "place order" in the checkout window. If you are a volume trader and require pallet drops please contact the trade telephone number and we can arrange for the prices you see on the site to be trade ones.
What is your returns policy?
Should you need to return a product, we accept returns
by RMA for faulty goods. Once you login, in the customers services area
of the menu you will find "Order Returns". It's a simple process.
Do I have to make an account to order?
No, we've made our checkout simple and quick - fill it
out and press "Place order". But if you do set up an account, you can
track your order easier and you don't have to fill in your details the
next time you place an order.
I want to send a gift and/or need something sent to
another address. Can you ship to other addresses apart from my "Card
Holders address"?
If you call us we will try to help call Leeds 0113 277
55 77.
What does OEM mean?
OEM generally means "original equipment manufacturer."
Almost all PC component and software vendors make two versions of the
same product based on a difference in the distribution channels.
One is the retail boxed products that are sold mainly through retailers.
The second one is the OEM products which are sold mainly to system
builders. These versions are not retail boxed and are often
produced in higher volume, generally resulting in lower costs.
What happens after I order?
After you order you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
This e-mail includes your order details, ie what you have ordered, the
shipping address, and most importantly your order number. Should
you have any queries about your order you can then reply to this e-mail,
or contact us by telephone, but be sure to have your order number to
hand.
I have purchased an item that is incompatible with my
computer. What can I do?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee compatibility at the
time of purchase. The item can be returned to us provided it is complete
with all accessories and packaging. The item will, however, be subject
to a restocking charge of 25%. Any customer returning goods which are found not to be faulty or misdescribed shall not be entitled to a refund of the shipping costs incurred in returning the goods to us and may have shipping charges deducted from any refund owing.
How safe am I in
purchasing goods over the Internet?
We can't speak for
all shopping sites in general, but you are safer by buying through this
site than you would by giving your credit card details to a waiter in a
restaurant! The credit card details you give to us are automatically
encoded onto a secure 128bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) server (you will
see the yellow padlock at the bottom of your browser window when you
reach that page), this highly secure mode of taking payments means that
no one can intercept your order as it passes through the Internet. We
then use a Secure Payment system to take your payment through to our own
bank account.
Can I collect
goods from you/buy over a counter?
Visit our shop, the address can be found at the bottom
of this page. Where is your RMA form? The link to the form is here, fill in as much detail as possible, the returns process is simple once you login to your services area Use this
form (in MS Excel format).
